The Competition Horseshoe is a premiere Tournament horseshoe that pitches easily and holds more ringers for both Backyard and Pro pitchers alike.  The Competition’s advanced design possesses improved weight distribution with more aggressive calks plus true conformation to official opening dimensions.  The ringer breaker will help hold ringers on the stake, and for Turn Pitchers finger positioner ensures your grip is consistent with each pitch.

The Competition shoe is modeled after, and a replacement for, the Tournament Diamond.  The Tournament Diamond was originally developed in 1970 and passed through several structural changes and improvements over the proceeding decades.  It has been pitched and promoted by World Champions as well as backyard warriors and league winners.  Omega Horseshoe Co is proud to offer the Competition to past Tournament Diamond pitchers, and to anyone looking to "Rise to the Competition."  If you were a fan of the now discontinued Tournament Diamond you will surely love the Competition Horseshoe by Omega!

The Drop Forge Difference

Unlike most horseshoes made today of cast iron or low quality steel (that often easily crack or break) Competition Horseshoes are manufactured using the top-quality Gold Standard Drop Forge process with premium AISI steel. Forging produces a unique internal grain structure that endows the exceptional strength and durability this horseshoe is famous for (not the air pockets and internal voids common to cast horseshoes that cause breakage).  Our Industry-Best LIFETIME WARRANTY backs up the Competition’s High-caliber manufacturing.  You pitch with quality when you Rise to the Competition!  Learn more about Forging.

    Diamond Tournament/Competition = VERY similar

Posted by Mary K Blattner on Jun 23rd 2021

I have thrown Diamond Tournaments for over 20 years and they don't make them anymore. I bought these for my son-in-law because he keeps wanting to buy mine. After telling him many, many times that they're not for sale I went looking to buy him some. That's when I found out they don't make them anymore. I found that these are rated as the closest to them and they ARE! He loves them and I tried them out and love them too. Good to know I have a backup in case anything happens to mine. Thank you!

    THESE DO NOT BREAK

These are the only shoes I cannot stop throwing! They pitch amazing! They do not break like every other brand on the market. These are the only shoes worth owning.

    Competition vs Diamond ournament

Posted by Unknown on May 15th 2019

Pitched Diamonds for years, these Competition shoes, which are nearly a flawless replacement, have the same feel and balance. In my league we have players who throw a turn shoe and flip shoe and this shoe works great for both.
